Billing and payments: Parents will receive a bill at the beginning of each semester. There will be a choice of payment plans listed on the bill. At late fee of $15 will be added for every 5 day period that passes after the due date indicated on your bill. Payments that are over 20 days late will result in immediate cessation of classes/lessons. Clients will still be liable for the balance due for the remainder of the semester.
There is a separate bill for group lessons and private lessons. Group lesson fees must be paid in full at the first class. Either mail the payment prior to the class to the above address or give the payment to the instructor.
There will be a $30 fee for any returned check.
Withdrawals: Financial obligations are incurred by the semester. Parents are responsible for completing payments for the semester even if their child withdraws, is dismissed from the school due to behavior problems, or cannot attend all scheduled lessons for any reason. Please try to give at least 2 weeks notice if you will be withdrawing from the school. If you are in any way dissatisfied with or have concerns regarding your MDTEC experience please contact the director or asst. director as soon as possible. Also, please discuss any concerns you are having with your child’s motivation or practicing habits with your private teacher or the administration.
Make-up lessons: Make-up lessons will only be given in the event that MDTEC is closed due to inclement weather or in the event of illness/emergency on the part of the teacher. Teachers will not make up lessons due to student cancellation. If you know that you will have to miss a lesson that has been scheduled on your contract you may either sell your lesson time to another student or try to exchange lesson times with another family. Parents must arrange for switching lesson times and then notify their teacher. Please let your teacher know ASAP if you will be missing a lesson.
